

Shelton Brown serves as Treasurer for the Veteran Excellence Magazine board, bringing more than two decades of accounting, tax, and business development expertise to the role. He is the Founder and CEO of ACTHR Inc, a global accounting, tax, and business development firm he launched in 2000, and he currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of E2 Northeast Motorsports, Inc., the first NASCAR team solely owned by an African American woman, and as partner and Chief Financial Officer of Chef Monica's Blends Inc., a national spice brand. He also brings 20 years of experience as a subcontractor with the US government, providing financial services support.
A graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, one of the country's largest producers of minority certified public accountants, Shelton went on to earn his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. His career includes roles as an auditor for Arthur Andersen, Vice President of Finance for Dudley Products, an auditor for AMICO Fuels, and a Lead Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service. In 2008, he was appointed Senior Vice President of Finance for 100 Black Men of America, Inc., overseeing the organization's fiscal operations nationally and internationally. In 2011, he founded the PHETE Foundation in Charlotte, North Carolina, and in 2017, his firm ACTHR became a tax and accounting partner with Morgan Stanley, serving professional athletes and high-net-worth clients.
Shelton is currently developing a YouTube channel focused on financial literacy and empowerment for the visually impaired.
