Toya Williams brings a rare blend of precision and heart to her role as Board Chairperson for Veteran Excellence Magazine. An experienced project manager, she has spent her career wrangling deadlines, budgets, and teams, leading cross-functional groups toward common goals and impactful results. Her creative spirit and commitment to continuous improvement guide her leadership, both in the boardroom and beyond.

A native of Wichita Falls, Texas, Toya brings the same structure and care she built her career on to VEM's mission of telling veterans' stories with depth and integrity. She stays close to the work, asking the practical questions, timelines, risks, ownership, that keep a team moving forward, while never losing sight of the larger purpose behind it. She sees board meetings not as a formality but as a place to work through hard calls together, and she'd rather over-communicate with her team than let something important go unspoken.

Outside of her professional work, Toya finds her anchor in family, plants, and flowers. A dedicated world traveler, she recharges by exploring new destinations across the globe, wandering through botanical gardens, and discovering new cuisines, bringing that same curiosity and care to her service on the board.
